Washington State History Weekly Blog

In chapter three the things I’ll remember most are the foods that the Coastal and Plateau Indians ate. What I learned is that the Indians were able to make way for a better life for us by showing us how to survive, of course this only happened once we had made peace with them. The Indians are an important part of our states history because they helped us in so many ways, and they were the first inhabitants of our beautiful area. Also, we have learned many things about the Indians culture by studying the artifacts found in our state, and by interviewing some of the remaining Indians that live on reservations throughout the state.
